Late summer breeze
Eating Wisconsin cheese

Early autumn mornings
Watching the morning dew run down my awnings

The feel of the wind on my face during a late spring thaw
A bald eagle swoops a fish out of the lake with razor sharp claws

A large Icee drink soothing down my parched throat
But, when I was younger, it was a large glass filled with ice, and a coke

Sipping lemonade with my mother at her breakfast table
laughing at her old ways, because she wouldn't buy cable

Kids first circus, watching them laugh at the clowns
Then, when they got their first smell of elephants, it made them gag and frown

Laying on a blanket in the shade with the one I'm with
Hoping not to get caught by the one I just gave a gift

My first new fling was pretty exciting
Then I met her older sister, who was even more inviting

Curled together in front of a TV
Never guessing she's the one to be

Summer boat rides at sundown
First time I saw my wife in her White Wedding Gown

Lying naked in front of a window fan on a hot sumer night
Remembering how proud I felt when my parents gave me my first bike

Ten minutes after making all night whoopee
Standing in front of the second grade class misspelling Missisippi

The smell of the air after a summer storm
Any reason is good to huddle up to get warm

Watch my little girls grow into full grown ladies
But, I still remember when they pulled up all my freshly planted daisies

In front of the church my grandson falls face first in the dirt
I pick him up and he whish, all over my brand new Sunday shirt

Watch my kids take their first steps all alone
Now they won't leave home, even after they're all fully grown

The first time my first born called me dad-dy
Watching my dad face light up when he bought his first new Caddy

Waking up to a bright morning sun, while listening to the song birds sing
flying high into the sky, while trying not to fall out the play ground swing

Laughing at my neighbor's sneaky cat getting scared, as he tried to sneak up on a Morning Dove
The first time I was hit with that all painful and mighty, puppy love

Every time I wake up from a good night sleep
Then get up and give thanks while on bended knee

Hearing my wife laugh out loud as I act a fool
It ranks up there with love, that small word, COOL
